How Do We Work?

Contract: IIn order to avoid any surprises, we provide a signed contract to make sure we are aware of all the mutually agreed upon details, such as: function date and location; bride’s and groom’s names; addresses and phone numbers; fee, including for additional time and deposit, hours of service and music requests.

Set-up: We arrange to set up equipment and to complete appropriate sound checks prior to your guests arriving. This ensures a smooth transition into the dance.

Music: A wedding brings together the widest range of people. It’s extremely important to have a DJ with the expertise to satisfy various musical tastes. A very important thing to remember is that having all the music in the world doesn’t make a good DJ. The DJ must have the ability and experience to know which selections are appropriate and even more importantly, which are not. Most DJ's will have a library containing thousands of songs. However, during a 5-hour period of dancing, there will only be time for about 65-70 songs so selecting the right songs from that vast collection takes skill and experience. Ask the right questions to ensure the DJ you select is able to meet these expectations.

Requests: Many DJ’s say they take requests, but that doesn’t mean they’ll play them. Wee B. Chillun DJ believes playing requests is an essential element in ensuring your guests have a good time.

Dinner Music: You may decide to have background music during dinner. An ideal DJ concentrates sound in one area (the dance floor) and minimizes sound elsewhere, making sure that guests closer to the speakers are not overwhelmed while those farther away cannot hear what is being played.
